Chief Analytics Officer – rue21
With more than 20 years of experience in financial and executive management, Mark has an extensive portfolio of driving results and sales through innovative solutions and process improvements.
In his current role as Chief Analytics Officer at rue21, Mark oversees the Information Technology and Merchandise Planning & Allocation functions at the 750-store specialty retailer.
Prior to this, Mark was Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain officer at David’s Bridal where he helped the company transform David’s Bridal’s end-to-end supply chain systems and strengthen its Planning & Allocation infrastructure to support the company’s long term growth plans.
Before David’s Bridal, Mark served in a different role at rue21 as Senior Vice President of eCommerce and Planning & Allocation for seven years. During his time, Mark led the company in sales growth to exceed $1 billion and successfully launched the company’s first eCommerce site. Mark was also instrumental in the ground-up development of the merchandise planning, allocation and store planning teams, systems and business processes for rue21.
Prior to his time as SVP at rue21, Mark was VP of Allocation, Replenishment and Planning at American Eagle Outfitters, and served in similar capacities in demand planning and inventory management at both The Disney Store and Victoria’s Secret.
Mark earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool (UK). He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of London (UK), and a Master of Research degree also from the University of Liverpool.
